Now it's become "alright". We have a decent line, probably above-average pass protection, and Keenum is getting plenty of time to throw more often than not. I think that much is evident in his passing stats, too. O-line has been instrumental in Keenum's success. Remember how awful he looked week 1 under pressure?
But 2013 was an absolute mess. We lost starting QB's that year. I think we about led the league in sacks allowed, and QB pressures. There was a howl that Grob wasn't going to address what we NEEDED, which was pass pro increase (an area everyone agreed he was raw in, and still seems raw).
What an interesting turn of events. The guy around whom the Rams expected to build a devastating rushing attack is basically invisible in our horrible run-block scheme, and the same guy is still getting our QB killed at least once per game on year 3, behind an otherwise-decent pass protection line.
He's failed in the run area, and failed in the pass area. Disappointing to see a #2 overall whose name is called by the refs every week and that's about all, considering how much draft capital we've spent on Goff.
Yet the Rams are 3-1. Apparently they're absorbing a GRob bust! Hey, 3-1! But with such an anemic run game, it's only a matter of time before Case The Ace Keenum is figured out. I don't want to fall back on a running game that averages less than 80 YPG.
