Watkins instead of Robinsons means playoffs last year.
For that reason, alone. One playoff appearance in 10 years, throw out that he may never play again. I would take Watkins.
Regardless, on an offensive team that is historical bad, having a 1000 yard WR on a team that was on the border on making the playoffs, would definitely make a significant difference.
And to boot, there would be somebody else at left tackle not killing drives with untimely mistakes and penalties so that would be a double bonus.
The Rams making the playoffs these last 2 years would change the mindset of the offense, the organization, and create a buzz of energy to move the team forward even if Watkins were never to play again, that change would be well worth it.
