Austin is Rams second best player on offense behind Gurley.
I don't think he is great, but he is the best chance the Rams have in making a big play out of nothing.
If the Rams had a competent offense, I could understand your position. Get more of a solid WR that can catch the ball and move the chains, but the Rams offense doesn't create opportunities to make routine plays like other NFL offenses.
Hence, you need a player that could make a big play out of nothing if the defense makes a mistake. Austin provides this opportunity of creating something better than everybody but Gurley maybe.
Not so sure that Austin is the Rams 2nd best player on O, 81.
At least so far this season.
Here are Tavon's stats so far this year... [
www.espn.com]
9 catches on 22 attempts for 63 yards.
Here are Britt's stats so far this year... [

10 catches on 16 attempts for 161 yards.
Small sample, I know, but no comparison, really.
