As if we didn't already know this...

How were the 49ers able to shut out the Rams on Monday night? It was in part because the 49ers knew what was coming.
Steve Wyche reported on NFL Network that a 49ers player told him they could tell exactly what the Rams were doing in advance, solely by the Rams’ alignment and backfield motion.
That doesn’t speak well for Rams offensive coordinator Rob Boras and the rest of the Los Angeles offense, especially that it’s already that predictable in the first week of the season when it hadn’t even put anything on film yet.
Obviously, something needs to change on the Rams’ offense. Coach Jeff Fisher says that change will not come from changing quarterbacks, and Case Keenum is not in danger of being benched for first overall pick Jared Goff. But a good place to start the change would be an offense that doesn’t tell the defense what’s coming.
