The obvious question is whether the dividends are for the next coach, of course, if Keenum isn't as good as the staff hopes.
But that aside, I like what Fisher has tried to do with the position...
1. Brought in a guy who runs a QB school. A guy who had proven results with NFL QBs that think highly of his teaching.
2. Finally invested draft capital last year in the OL so the position coach has enough to work with.
3. After failing to attract a top OC talent he went with another young guy in Groh who had actual results to be his passing game coord.
4. Moved up to get a QB that has everything he wants.
Fish takes a lot of hits by Rams fans. And many of them he does deserve. But the dude is trying, and this roster looks like it finally has enough pieces to be a power run scheme with just enough passing game complements. Goff is going to be a great QB, I was shocked when they moved up for him and I'm still ecstatic they made that move. But Fish needs to win now and I understand that, and while the WR group is still sad the question is whether the top of the roster can get 'er done and buy him more time for this program overall to grow into something greater.
I have enjoyed your style of posting over the years mr. merlin. This was just a plain good old fashioned rational, sound, positive post.
