QB Position.....
Goff should just sit down and go to QB school. Like Bobcarl pointed out, you need to know the offense forward, backword and sideways. It's not just calling the plays. It's understanding where everyone is at on the field, all 22 players, not just your 11.
One thing you can't coach is leadership and instincts. How to be a leader of a team and, when the play is happening, have the instincts to know what to do with the ball. Goff is athletic. He can make the throws and is mobile enough to avoid pressure. He just needs time to be able to digest the playbook.
It takes time........But to me, the most important thing any player needs.....The desire to become the best. You need to do football 24 / 7. Every second you are a professional QB, you need to be a leader. You need to show everyone that you are serious about the job and you are doing everything you can to win the starting position. It's called "Having a Love for the Game".
