I think he's in a fight for the roster and right now the odds are less than 50/50. Yes, he made 4th quarter plays- but against 3rd string OL. My (amateur) theory is they're now 5 deep at DE with Sims, Westbrooks and Longacre. Plus Seau is emerging fast at DE. So that's why he's been bumped inside. But even there he's the 5th DT behind Easley and Thomas. I think he's being kept until final cuts in case of injury but right now the numbers are not in his favor. He's guaranteed $750k which I think they'd be willing to eat (since Quick will cost twice that if released).
The good news here is the Rams might be
six deep at DE- without Coples...
