I'm far from qualified to say who is out there who would be a great HC. But I do know that there have been guys who had to wait a long time to get a chance. And old guard HCs with losing records like Fisher made them wait longer.
I think about Vince Lombardi and Bill Walsh having to wait until they were older to get their chance.
There will always be talented guys who just need a chance to show that they are great. And that goes for any field not just the NFL.
But hey, Fisher said he's not going 7-9 or 8-8 or whatever this year. He said this team is way too talented. So I take him at his word. And I put it on him if he doesn't deliver this year.
I'm hoping that Kroenke feels the same way and told Fisher as much. You deliver this year or you're gone. That is more than fair.
