“Little things are important, you follow me?” Fisher said. “I am not f---ing going 7-9 or 8-8 or 9-7, OK? Or 10-6 for that matter. This team is too talented. I am not going to settle for that, OK? I know what I am doing. We had some 7-9 bulls--- this morning. Now, Deon’s gone. That is 7-9 bulls---. We don’t need it."
Fisher knows what 8-8, or worse, feels like. In 16 seasons as a head coach in the NFL, he has six winning seasons, the rest were .500 or below. Now, he is leading the Rams back into Los Angeles 21 seasons after they left for St. Louis.

Yes, I saw the show. I'm not sure how to take Fisher's comment "We had some 7-9 bulls--- this morning. Now, Deon's gone. That is 7-9 bulls--". Is he saying that every losing season he's had in his career he's put up with "bulls--" from the players and he's not going to do that anymore? What was the "bulls--" that contributed to THOSE seasons? Just sayin'... based on his own words, one could interpret it that way. Fisher says he knows what he's doing, and maybe he really does. But isn't the value/worth of an athlete or a coach based on results? It's never been based on potential, or what you say you're going to do, or what you think you're going to do or how nice a person you are. It's based on what you actually DO, is it not? So, while this all makes for great TV, the proof will be in the pudding, as it always has been and should be.
I know Fisher is just trying to motivate his young players in his own way, but if I`m a player familiar with his coaching history, I would be questioning myself if he really did know what he was doing. And why its taken two decades of coaching to say he`s not putting up with BS from players anymore. The results speak for themselves and its really ALL that matters at this point.
Facts:
#6 = the number of winning seasons Jeff Fisher has had as an NFL head coach in 21 seasons
#15 = the number of non-winning seasons Jeff Fisher has had as an NFL head coach in 21 seasons
#2 = the number of winning seasons Jeff Fisher has had over his last 11 seasons as an NFL head coach
I get he`s very respected by many, a nice guy that many seem to like, and a good enough coach to take a horrible team and turn it into at least a some what respectable one, but not many head coaches would still have a job in this league if they got the results he did.
To be fair, I like the way Fisher and Snead have drafted and signed UDFA`s over the years, but it doesn't mean anything if they aren't winning. I don't see a winning season in 2016 either. Hope I`m dead wrong. 5 years is too long to not field a winning team and not acceptable no matter how anyone wants to spin it. End results are all that matter.
