Why did it take so long for the Rams to buy them? They knew long before camp what they were in store for. What it cost Kroenke to pay for those portable units is pocket change, a tax write off and in his best interest protecting his investments.
Goff didn't have to do what he did buying the offensive personnel fans. That was thoughtful of him (or his agent). Fisher could have reached into his pockets if he was so concerned for his defense staying cool. Of course it was a joke all together that this wasn't taken care of from up top long before it did. Maybe it was to make for better TV? IDK, but I wouldn't sacrifice that.
Seems like the players knew before camp they were staying in un-air conditioned facilities. If I were a player, I would have asked before camp started if I would be permitted to buy a portable AC unit for my room if the team was not supplying one. Bust your ass out on the hot field all day, your body needs the proper recovery to continually perform at your highest level and stay healthy. I would think that's what everyone would want.
Yeah, thought that was a weird reaction by fish upon hearing what Goff did..he should have thanked him for the kind gesture and took care of his defense out of his pocket.... Stan was probably last person to know about the situation and as soon as he found out took care of it...it is obvious he has spared no expenses lately with this move.
But yes, these players could afford the pocket change it would take to buy their own ac units....
