I think Brooks is just playing/writing into the mindless media drama that gets advertisers to put up $$ hoping that we purchase their products.



a team doesn't bet the farm on a QB that is merely the "most NFL ready" QB in the draft

the "most NFL ready" will start day one for any team ... it is not unusual for a rookie QBs to start game one . and many of those are successful


you don't trade the farm for a "NFL ready" QB ...nevertheless you do bet the farm on a HOF caliber QB.





Think about it ... how difficult is it for a 1st-round QB to learn how to hand off the football to Gurley? That is all that is needed to win.on Monday Sept 12 against the Niners ... Gurley will carry the game on his back ... anything else that Goff contributes and learns is gravy.

We bet the farm on a future super-star ... on the most NFL ready QB in the 2016 draft... Goff is smart, he is teachable ... he has latent potential ..... Goff will start on Sept 12th.

I wish I had tickets.
