Tactically it was a good move because Rams immediately won a SB with Stafford.
But strategically? I think it was a mistake.
Lions got all those premium picks plus Goff, handled properly, is looking like an All Pro just entering his prime.
As McVay has said himself, he can be impetuous. And in this instance I think it’s bitten him in the butt Big Time.
The Ernest Jones trade might be another example of McVay’s impetuosity.
