I don't care if Stetson throw 5 picks in this next game, he is the Rams only possibility as a back up for Stafford in games 1 & 2. It is far too late to even pick up an old vet who won't even know the playbook.
Every one on this board knows I didn't like McVay bringing Stetson back in the first place. But, clearly McVay knows a tad more about this guy than I do, and he has pushed the Poker Chips into the center of the table when it comes to who the QB back-up is during JG's 2 game suspension. I don't like it, but there it is. On the other hand, exactly how good of a QB are you going to have as a #3? Good QBs cost money and teams are waiting to pounce on them.
I think everything filtered and weighed says that the Rams are going to cross their fingers that Stafford makes it healthy for the first 2 games, and if not.... well, hope for the best throwing Bennett in there.
