I thought the Ram's had finally turned the corner, especially with LP. Also, we had a guy here that said he was Tony's brother and he convinced me Banks would be the guy. Other factors as well.

I didn't think they'd be soaring to the top but I really believed they were getting serious and putting things in place. And then.... two more down years. BUT.... '99 was that far off. - JamesJM

I wasn't crazy about Phillips because of baggage ... but I accepted it.
I thought Kennison was going to be bigger and stronger than harrison ... Tom Jackson was surprised marvin Harrison fell and I guess he was reporting
that Harrison was to much like Isaac Bruce ... they wanted a different bigger guy. The I see Kennison and he does not look all the big, but thought they
knew he would be good.

Conwell was supposed to be a fullback, a Moose Johnston type--Jerard Moore had great college stats ... and so on. Derrick Harris was going to be a good fullback=type, too.

The missed on 4 RBs in one draft. Conwell got moved to his college position and he turned out okay, even though he was short for a TE. He and Fred Miller were only hits ...

Percell Gaskins I remember ran a 4.48 and Chuck Osborne was a great college player who was was small but Rams had D'Marco Farr and took Maa Tanuvasa in 1993, so they "knew" short defensive linemen ... but not that time.

Banks was supposed to have had the "best arm" in the draft and turned out he was basically a bust ...

I had high hopes and was braggin about how good they draft was. A friend told be it could be the best draft beer or the worst. I was offended ... like "How could the Rams miss on all of them?"

They basically did.

lClose to worst draft class in team history. Has to be up there.
