For me the issue is the “articles” from fan sites. I don’t even click on the links when they are posted, and they are posted a lot. This conversation has come up in years past. People complained about posts from turf show times as they felt like it was a waste of time to sort through fan site articles to find the work from actual reporters. If memory serves, there was a time when posts from fan sites were marked as such by the poster. For example, if it was from turf show times the poster would indicate it by including TST in the header along with the topic. This would help board members know the source and they could choose to click on it or not. I know I appreciated that because I can’t stand TST or rambinfan, but I also know that there seem to be people who like reading those pieces. The flip side of this is that nothing gets posted and the board goes silent during dead periods of the offseason, and that’s not much fun for people look8 to interact with fellow fans.
