They really don't have a whole lot of question marks as to the final roster. A few thoughts:
At WR, Atwell and Skowronek are absolutely on the bubble. I lean toward them both being there but just saying neither is a slam dunk. Can they really strike gold two years in a row with a day 3 WR pick that carves out a role right away? Special teams are of course a factor as well. Rams save almost $1.5M if Atwell is released (or traded?).
At RB, Evans has a lot to prove and quickly. $915k saved if released in August. I like Rivers.
9th OL spot will be up for grabs. Limmer has an inside track to the 53 because they need a true backup center.
The DL might be somewhat light but it's also very, very strong. I expect Johnson to step into a bigger role and Davis to push Brown at NT (and at least rotate there) from day one. Murchison is the most likely 6th DL but he's no roster lock either. $985k savings if released.
Agree at Edge rusher. And I like that group. Will be really interesting to watch how the rotations and depth chart play out.
Can we please get Troy Reeder off this team.
CB remains I think easily their biggest question mark and potentially thinnest position if White has any lingering health issues. While purely looking at the safeties group I really like them. I realize Lake and Curl can and will also play nickel/STAR but the Rams
really need Tomlinson to step forward and have Durant be a decent CB4. I could see them look for help here after final cuts or by trade early in the season. Like Evans at RB, Kendrick has a lot to prove and quickly. $985k saved if released at the end of preseason.
