divide trades into
A. For Players
B. For picks
I cannot think of any in category B where Rams got fleeced -- the only one even close is Fiske.
If you are talking about the picks for Miller, Ramsey, Stafford then you can make a case ... Rams pay
a lot.
Too much? Subjective but without those, Rams don't get ring.
As for picks?
You cannot say Rams don't get good value for their picks when they go down or up.
Rams got top dollar for 2012 #1 and the extra trade downs
If you say they blew picks (Pead), then fine.
Rams got equal value for Austin doing up and for Ogletree going down.
For Goff? They paid going rate, right what was in line with DVC
Got more than expected for a twice injured Bradford. Basically got a late#1 in DVC "money" for damaged good.
Traded down to get Hav plus a 3rd and 4th ...
For Joyner? They fell in love with him and gave a 5th to move 3 slots --- that one would *maybe* back your point. It was similar to Fiske Rams overpaid by maybe a 7th rounder ... but according to DVC is was a a late 5ht round cost and Rams paid a middle 5th ... but that was really fine
The Taylor Rapp trade downs all just fine.
In fact, I never remember any complaints until this year when it comes to draft pick trades .. .the value. I sawthe complaints about the misses --- who they took with the pick, Pead, Austin, etc.
Have also hear complaints about what Rams got back for players --- Ramsey was said to be to low, for example.
I will stand corrected if you can find draft pick trades that were out of line with accepted charts -- if you guys can find one -- other than Fiske.
