No reason why Hoecht can't use his rush skills from the DE position.
Maybe we're seeing the beginning of a DT/DE rotation that will put extra pressure on QB's in long yardage passing downs, and keep our best DL players fresh.
plus being a backup for OLBer position --- if someone goes down or needs a breather. He's going to be, IMO, a utility backup at 2-3 positions.
