They are ?'s for sure but I have also seen them make some an actual good football plays. They didn't get much if really any shots but IMO if they showed a play or 2 in very limited play I think it leans to the side of they can be rotational edge players. I seem to remember Hampton getting hands up at a crucial time and do an important pass knock down, I seem to have seen a flash of Mathis getting some heat on a rush or 2 as well. Now that doesn't mean they are this or that, but it beats being out there and flailing away at air, being way out of position or penalty machines.
some and a little for Hampton. Yes, Hampton knocked down a pass on 4th down ... and Mathis has shown me something
It's why I disagree when people call guys who did not have a great first season as a bust ... one of both could be rotational players. I prefer Mathis because h's more physical but Hamtpon has good speed.
We also ned to remember Rams have THT in the sam boat ... he did some thing wrong but he still did a few thing right
But bottom line for me is there have potential and we have no see enough to know what they are yet. There cold be a gem in there.
