I've seen Hoecht as a very bright, very adaptable and coachable big athlete who was drafted to play edge when there was no-one better who could play the position without making mental errors - better suited to the interior at the end position, not a tackle.

Hoecht, Kobie and Brown inside, with Verse and Young on the edges would be a formitable group.

They could hurry a few throws, possibly aiming some picks at our revitalized secondary.
