Early-mid 80's I'd set the VCR in the morning, come home from high school at lunch time, fast forward through the commercials for the offical helmet phone, see the (maybe) 10 picks that were made, reset the VCR, return to school.

Too funny remember that too with Paul Zimmerman as one of the guest hosts.
