Our secondary was mostly trash this past year. Aside from Witherspoon.
If we get an Edge rusher in the draft, we really have close to a stacked team.
Yes, a few holes still... linebacker and depth at quite a few spots, but for a team rebuilding last year, we're darn close to being back.
Of course as Les said, that wade Phillips used to say, "the team that scores the most points, wins".
So I'm fine if we go offense with the 1st pick and fill the defensive holes with second and third rounders.
I hope you're right, but I don't share your enthusiasm. We need better players in the secondary.
