". . . RB is just not exciting, I'm sure a starter or 2 will emerge but good luck predicting which 2. If Corum played injured all season like I have heard may be the case, he might be a steal. "
I agree with you on Corum. I hope the Rams get him.
Where do you think Vaki fits as a RB. Only a few games, but highest rated RB by PFF?
Vaki took 3 years off school to go on a church mission. Why? Because he lost his mother and she wanted him to go on a church mission. Everything he does is in memory of his mother. His work ethic is reportedly off the charts, as is his character. He didn't worry about his draft stock or getting hurt playing both ways, he just wanted to help his team win once the RB injuries piled up.
His snap count last year looks like this:
677 snaps on defense
76 snaps on offense
82 snaps on special teams
Thats insane.
Of those 76 snaps on offense, he had 42 carries for 317 yards and 11 catches for 203 yards
On defense he lined up in the slot about 1/3rd of the time, the rest at safety.
I think he is a safety first, STs second and 4th RB third. I prefer him as a safety due to his physicality and his ability to move around the formation. If you want him as a RB, he probably clocks in around 10th best. I think if you want to only carry 3 RBs and free up a spot for an extra WR or OL or whatever, he would be just fine as your 4th RB. I also think he could excel at STs.
"Give me any of Odunze, Thomas Jr, Legette, Pearsall, Coleman, Rice or Polk and I'll be happy.
After that I wait to day 3."
Where is McConkey for you? If he goes to a good fit, I will not be surprised if he is top rated 2024 WR next year.
He could very well be the top rated WR next year. Amazing route runner, which will always create separation. But his play strength needs work and he's not super athletic. I think injuries muddied the water for me, because I can't watch a ton of games on each guy. I think he is a slot that can win his matchup with regularity on the first 2 levels, esp as he gets stronger.
Also, where do you see Malik Washington fitting - tough, smart, captain, second only to Nabers in 2023 by PFF.
I like Washington, but his route running is almost non-existent, so the OC is going to have to manufacture his touches or scheme him open. Great hands, twitchy and elusive in space. To me, he's absolutely a slot only guy or a gadget guy.
