As a HC and GM that have worked together for a long time now, they are really on the same page. That helps alot. GMs buy the groceries and the HC cooks with those groceries. Hard to make Roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans when you have chicken, rice and peas.
Its a pretty well oiled machine right now and it looks like it is just picking up steam.
Of course there are misses in FA and in the draft, thats just how it is. But I like how they go about business. Esp in the draft lately:
Does the prospect love football? check
Does the prospect have a red hot motor? check
Is the prospectt mature on and off the field? check
Do they fit with what McVay wants on O and Shula wants on D? check
The rest will work itself out.
