I'm going to say it again ... the year to draft a RB higher is next year. The quality is REALLY significantly higher.
Like this draft is full of #2 RBs. Take one in the third or 5th, he's still a backup. If you take one in the second, you're reaching, in the first, you should be fired.
Jonathan Brooks is likely the consensus top back ... if sophomores had declared he'd be #7 at best and a 3rd or 4th rounder.
This year I want a basic pro backup. Will Shipley, Bucky Irving, etc. I want them to know how to block and catch and run angry.
Honestly I don't know if we even have to draft one to get that done. We'll get top UDFA pick having a hole on our roster there.
