I understand that Carroll Rosenbloom was looking to catch lightning in a bottle, hoping Namath had one more year in him, but his knees were so done, he could not even set up right. The arm was fine, the legs were done. I also understand they were not sold on Ron Jaworski and traded his rights to the Eagles for TE Charles Young, which killed me because Jaws was so much better then Haden especially the arm.

What I do not understand is why GM Don Klosterman soured on Jaworski because he drafted Jaworski in 1973 over someone like Dan Foutes for example, but read that Klosterman felt Jaworski was not accurate. In 1975, Jaworski led the Rams to some great victories, in fact, one of their better playoff victories against the Cardinals plus over the Steelers on a Monday Night game, but CR loved Haden and felt it was time to move on from Harris & Jaworski and could not resist the opportunity to grab Namath, which as we know, did not work out.
