What I do not understand is why GM Don Klosterman soured on Jaworski because he drafted Jaworski in 1973 over someone like Dan Foutes for example, but read that Klosterman felt Jaworski was not accurate. In 1975, Jaworski led the Rams to some great victories, in fact, one of their better playoff victories against the Cardinals plus over the Steelers on a Monday Night game, but CR loved Haden and felt it was time to move on from Harris & Jaworski and could not resist the opportunity to grab Namath, which as we know, did not work out.
and Jaws wanted more money than Rams wanted to pay. He made about $33 K in 1975 but took a 10% cut to play out option. He wanted $100,000 but would have probably settled for less but that was close to asking price. So I think money and personal things made Klosterman not want Jaws as much as anything, then in 1976 he didn't play as well as he had in 1975 PO game so maybe that was only part that made them question.
