No one knows how the Rams view their board

March 29, 2024 01:43PM
Without knowledge of how the Rams group the players in each tier, to seriously talk about the need to trade-up, trade-back, stand-pat in the 1st round is probably just too speculative.

What if, for example they see Turner, Verse, and Latu as approximately equal, Chop Robinson only incrementally lower, etc? Or they view Robinson as the best and Latu as the least? Not saying they do but we have no clue as to what they're thinking.

The Rams are super tight lipped about their draft board, and every year they surprise with who they value where, and who is about on par with who in their eyes. So much so that pretty much every draft service gives the Rams middling to poor grades each year because the Rams don't wind up selecting who these media characters think they should have drafted.

Just because the media thinks thus and so doesn't mean the Rams do. And one of the big things is medicals and character issues that are well buried and never seem to become known to the media. But every team has their doctors as well as their security departments that find out things about these guys that no draft pundit has any access to.

I have no doubt the Rams draft this year will be as much a surprise as it usually is.

Trade up? Don’t be surprised if Rams move up to maximize first-round value
