but in fairness to Higbee, probably true....

He's been a good-not-great TE for them for 8 years. Helped them reach two Super Bowls and win one. Hopefully he returns healthy in early November. Deserves some respect as a player.

He's 9th all-time in receptions by a Ram- most by a TE. Should pass Woods for 8th this season. He has the top 3 receiving seasons by a Rams' TE (2022, 2021, 2019). And he's 14th in career receiving yards and 15th in TDs- also best ever among Rams' TEs.

Reality is TE has never been a prominent position on the Rams. Holohan was great in 1988-90. But it's far from the list of great RB, WR, OL and DL this franchise can boast.

So when someone says Higbee is the best TE in franchise history, it's a pretty fair argument... Just happens to be in context of not a big group to pick from.
