FWIW, Packers drafted Love with the intent to start him the following year and move on from - what seemed like - a declining Rodgers. The Rodgers - even though he fought LaFleur tooth and nail - had an MVP year that year. They reupped with Rodgers and had Love ride the bench till now.

Doing what the Packers did really isn't an option.
