.Latu and Byron Young are a great edge presence that we do not have to pay for four years. What I do not want to do is trade for Hasson Reddick, who I like, and draft one of the D tackles in the first round because of a huge need. I would rather take the best CB.
This draft is shaping us great for us because of the run on QBs it is like we are getting a top 10-14 pick, and I want to take the best player available not convince ourselves that one of these D tackles is it.

And I’m not saying that it’s a bad strategy this year, either. Just saying that the Rams cast the die before FA even began. IOW, this was their plan from the beginning.
As you pointed out, this draft does seem to line up nicely in value with Ram needs.
