But when you here the words roster and option bonus it makes feel their for being part of the team this year......so it wouldn't seem right to collect them knowing your going to then retire...
My guess us they were just the wording used to split up ADs guaranteed mkneys.
Neither the roster bonus nor the option bonus were guaranteed, but the option bonus was due to be paid the day after AD renegotiated his deal and the roster bonus was surely due soon thereafter. And I agree with you: AD did the Rams a big favor by agreeing to restructure before those bonuses were paid, knowing that he was going to retire.
