AD's cap hit in 2024 was $34.2M before he restructured.
After he restructured his 2024 cap hit dropped to $25M.
Now that he retired his 2024 cap hit is $17.1M ... meaning the Rams got $17.1M in cap savings from his original cap hit of $34.2M.
Along with Noteboom's renegotiation ($8.4M) the Rams added an additional $25.5M in cap space.
Overthecap.com says the Rams had "... just shy of $27.7 million to play with this year in free agency." [
www.si.com] and that bumped up to $53.2M with the AD and Boom transactions.
Dotson takes up $12.7M of that, Johan Jackson counts $13.7M, Alaric Jackson $4.9M, Hoecht $3M. In total they eat up $34.3M, leaving $18.9M. And I've read that the Rams need around $10M for their draft class so they might still have around $8.9M.
However, their more recent signings (Parkinson, Williams, Curl, Rozeboom, Garopollo) aren't accounted for since their cap hits for 2024 haven't been published yet. Or at least I haven't seen them. The Rams might have to do another contract tweak or two before all is said and done.
