Gotta remember that he was like the 3rd string TE.
Seahawks had Dissley and Fant ahead of Parkinson.
Parkinson can be a utility guy.
For Special Teams, he blocks the edge.
On Offense, you utilize him for blocking and then sneak him out.
He actually holds the edge decently for a TE. Not to say you want to leave him 1:1 on an Edge all the time, but he's not like a dead TE.
This is why he's mostly open on his leak outs.
Seahawks could have used him more at the goal line with jump ball situations, but they tend to throw that more with their WR.
And they used Fant more on rollouts and where they want the TE to be more "athletic".
Parkinson seems to be a team player...and yes, he is a huge/tall TE. Good guy to be with for team concepts, blocking, sacrificing himself.
For the money, not sure.. but obviously his stats will go up if he's a #1 or #2 TE.
