1. Sign OT Smith quickly and call LT done. Tender Jackson at second round and put him in the swing OT role. Cut Noteboom.
2. Sign a RB on the cheap to ensure we don't come up short in the backfield. I favor Moss for that because I don't want to spend too much, he knows the scheme, and he has good numbers on his power type runs.
3. Draft the bejeezus out of defense. Ideally Latu at 19, I mean that would be an epic windfall for us because time to throw would shrink and make our young corners better. But we do need another corner, and a ballhawking safety would be excellent as well. There are four picks through round 3. If they do the above maybe one of them goes for a young center round 3. But other than that load that defense with difference makers.

Dealbreaker no. Concern yes. But you don't get a LT of his talent on the market without some kind of question.
I doubt it will happen. What I like about the idea though is you pair him with Jackson for the LT job this year for a very strong playoff run and a secure blindside for our old QB. And you finish up offense for the most part so most of those picks early on can go for defense which is where we badly need help.
Just what I'd like to see. I realize it's a pipe dream of course. And for the record I'd like to see a LT in the draft too. That is more likely, but things out of our control need to align for that to be possible.
