His cost would have depended on how the Rams tendered him. These are the tenders that are available and their price tags this year:

First-round tender: $6.822 million
Second-round tender: $4.89 million
Original round tender: $3.116 million <== not an option for Hoecht - he wasn't drafted
Right-of-first refusal tender: $2.985 million
