Never understood what the saw in him although the trade to the Broncos for Left Tackle Gerald Perry did work out for a couple of years.
Rams gave up a 4th rounder (#89) and Green for Perry and a 12t (#311)
So, essentially it was a 4th for Perry and Rams got a 12th for Green.
So really we got nothing for Green ... well, a backup guard so ... not nothing I guess but next to if.
For the 4th rounder Rams got 2 years of Perry
But interesting part is what Rams got in compensatory for losing him. Rams lost both Kevin Greene and Perry that year and got a 2nd and 6th comps ...
but Rams also signed guys, so information is scarce for back then ... but the net-net seems to have been a 2nd and 6th for losing whoever we lost, in addition to Perry and Greene compared to who Rams signed (Conlan and Rolling Eatman)
I wish we could learn more about how it worked. Now you can see who get get ... and can project it ... then the draft picks just appeared
