I've read that Washington was
captain of his team this year and has been
all-academic several times in the last 3/4 years.
It seems like the Rams like this type of player.
If he were 6'3" he would be a first round pick ? He is listed as 5'8" and 192 lbs.
Reminds me of Antonio Brown (not in off field areas - lol) - tough/high football IQ/gets open and catches everything.
In short, "a football player" like Kupp and Nacua.
Somewhere I heard it said Rams are now drafting "football players" vs. "physical specimens".
I can see him in the slot being too quick for defenders to keep from catching 5-10 yard passes all day and on 3rd down when really needed.
Tom Brady/Patriots made a living throwing to this type of player.
I don't know if the Rams are willing to draft a WR in the 80 - 120 range where he is now projected.
I also think he may be too similar to receivers we already have, but next year when TuTu and Robinson are FA, he would fit well.
They say he will run about 4.42 at the combine. I hope he runs about 6.42 - speed is overrated. Give me the "football player" over speed all being equal.
