He mentioned how useless the Combine can be. He said the best way (And I agree 100%) is to hit the pavement and see the Players in their element / School. Talk to Coaches and Assistants. Something highly under looked...Their Strength Coaches (To fine out what they REALLY can do and how dedicated they REALLY are. I always go back to the clip of Tom Brady running at the Combine and how it was nothing but a punch line. We hear about Wonderlick. THAT is absolute garbage. Why do I think so? Lawrence Phillips and Ryan Leaf to name just two examples. If I'M a Coach or Scout??? I don't wanna know how many times an O Line guy can press 400 lbs. I wanna see FILM of him pushing D Line guys around.
I'm sure there is some use for it all but have never trusted it to be a TRUE evaluation.
