Allen will come into 2024 as the starter with Higbee back midseason. Hunter Long will be 4 months remove from his MCL surgery by the Draft and they should know better how healthy he will be come late July.
2024 is not the year for them to draft a TE high. See what Allen can become in year 2 and go from there. If they add another TE I would much rather sign a lower priced, veteran blocking TE (or trade a 6th rounder for one). Or draft a kid on day 3 that has plug-and-play blocking ability.
