Yes, that are 7 teams that were better in 3rd and 10+ but the way you are talking about it you'd think the Rams were bottom 5. I think what happens in when someone sees a bad play, a 3rd and 11 completion for a first down they get bad and it sticks. But the times it was successful they don't have the emotional reaction and don't remember.

No, the Jags were the best over those three years .. but a lot of great defenses were worse --- 49ers really bad, for example.

I think the concerns you have really didn't happen. I think the 17% of the failures stuck in head and stayed there.
