EVERYONE on this board was holding it's breath during almost every 3rd and long...or if we HAD to have a stop......You'd have to be blind to even be remotely ok with our tackling. There was minimal aggression with the D. You rarely see ELEVEN men going to the ball. And we wonder why we never get bounces on fumbles. Gotta be there to get them (Lovie Smith's D was great at that) You can post all the stats you want but this D lacked in a few areas. Again....Is it the worst? No way. Just should be MUCH better.
And trying use your feelings. But being reluctant to look at stats is your right, but they are objective and reflect what happened, not what someone thinks happened.
So your exact words (Brady Bunch) "minimal aggression"
Rams blitz 28% of the time last three years
Where we agree is that pressure does not get home.
And no, I am not blind. I see football pretty well. And I see more turnovers for Rams than for other teams. I watch a lot of football and turnovers are rare but the success of takeaways is there ... no, not the best but not bad either (won't say the worse) but your exaggerations are not helping
Tackling? I wish it were better, and I agree. I do reject your characterization of it. I have as much knowledge as you do and I know what I saw. It was not as bad as you make it out to be.
But these words "aggressive, eleven men to the ball " are all nice but a Super Bowl win is much better and as far as the phrases, you may not like it but (1) McVay wanted this and (2) i disagree with your hyperbolic statements. You think you saw something and I tink I saw something different. Your eysight and evaluation is no better than mine. But, I know you don't like stats ... but facts are facts... and when given in context --- as I always do (and people can check them all they want) --- the paint a much better picture than anecdotes.
