I think this particular season the OL is more important and RG by extension. It's been a problem for us the past two seasons since we added Stafford. If the plan is to win a #1 seed the line has to enter the season as one unit.
Whereas defense needs a huge influx of talent across the board. They need a lot. Whether Jones returns is a drop in the bucket on that side of the ball because he is not special.
Now the question is what does he think he's worth. Because for an ILB if you sign somewhere for more than you deserve you'll be a cut very quickly in this league. Could be he isn't greedy, which I hope, because I love his leadership with this unit. But his play is not up to his leadership level so that has to reflect monetarily.
