Snead every year is asked about it, and he says that they always are trying to fill needs in the draft.....not best player at any position.
And, this is why they organize their boards with pods of players. 2 or 3 or 4 players grouped together at each draft position, but only those that fill needs.
I don't believe they'll pick up an edge player in the draft unless its in a later round because the best edge guys go pretty fast. Instead, Edge will be their #1 FA priority. I think their #2 FA priority will be an Outside CB. They will spend pretty big on those 2 positions. Why? Because this will fill their biggest team needs and make the D better right away.
I think they'd like to keep Wentz around at a team friendly deal and put back-up QB to rest for a year or 2.
And, despite the majority who think otherwise, I don't think the Rams are done with Bennett unless he can't answer the bell this offseason for whatever was the reason he had to leave the team this year. If the Rams know he's gone, they may look at QB anywhere from the 3rd round on. So much depends on the Rams finding a competent vet QB to back up Stafford.
