Outside of AD, EJ, the Conductor, Monster Zero, and BB3, who on the defense is above average, maybe Spoon? The fact that Hoecht is on the field and a secondary without a difference maker. This team was designed for the offense to carry us this year and tonight it didn't carry us far enough. No shade to Stafford though. The offense was supposed to be playoff level, the defense was thought to possibly be historically bad in preseason.
See? This is what I don't understand. Not trying to be a hater, but this defense (for the most part) lacks for talent and is inexperienced.
So yeah...we're gonna get in bad match-ups (i.e. Hoecht) and miss a gang of tackles.
Yet, we held the Lions 6 points under their home average.
If you'd told me that the Lions would only score 24 points tonight, I'm not sure who wouldn't have taken that and ran.
