He looked solid as a back up. A little rusty with some for sure, plus lack of reps with players, but let's see how things play out. He has flamed out a few times now so no need to re-write history with one game. As for the future - he has some physicality and mobility, but he's kind of lumbering, if we're going to go with a mobile QB someday, I'd think we'd want someone with fresher legs and more of a threat for a big gain.
Interesting to see who, if anyone comes calling. Baker had 4 games to lay down some tape. The way the broadcasters where talking - Wentz and Darnold had punched their tickets to a #1 spot for someone next year. I'm not so sure. Darnold is fool's gold. Can he execute a scripted Shanahan offense with short throws to receivers schemed open - sure, can he carry a team that's not stacked with talent - don't think so.
