While there is always this nice talk about Morris, the reality is that he's had a shot at HC and it didn't turn out well.
Further, it's not that he's been a top flight O or D Co-ordinator. The kudos he's had this year is not about fielding a really good D, it's doing better than the projections were about the Rams D, but the bar wasn't very high.
Not only that, the HC job is quite different than a Co-ordinator or any of the position coaching positions.
Looking around, there are guys that are going to be ahead of him. The Texans OC. The Dallas DC. Vrabel is going to be a top 3, and I bet he winds up in NE.
After that, I think we'll see the Niners and the Ravens staff raided.
I just don't think Morris is going to get that promotion.
