I guess Hopkins highjacked this post because he was the highest rated offensive player of the game.
I thought Davis Allen was on fire at first, but he got pulled early and they put Hopkins in. I was excited for Hopkins when we drafted him, but he's just never really made it as a starter, and I think that's been more on the coaches than him. He seems to answer the bell when he's playing.
This team as a whole has been frustrating at the TE position. When we elect to use it, we've done great, whether it's the two TE sets, or we just turn Higbee loose, it's usually been successful. We just don't seem to play the position up like we should. And considering McVays background, it's bewildering. When we hired him, I was really hoping he'd unlock the position. I'm still waiting.
