I think Wentz did exactly what I was hoping.
Win the game without having a long highlight real.
Majority of his highlights are him running the ball for average gains, which isn't going to be something that catches the eye of offensive coordinators.
I think he did enough to keep his job as a backup for us, but not enough to draw too many inquiries for him to compete for a starting job elsewear, and doubtful anybody will be backing the truck up.
As for Darnold, early on he may have turned a few heads, so they may have some competition for him.
To be honest, having watched, I don't think Wentz is the answer I was hoping to be Staffords heir after next year, but if we can retain him as the backup, maybe he'll show he has more than he did today.
I really did not like how deliberate his hand-offs were and also staring down receivers.
Hopefully this was just purposeful ball control on handoffs, and lack of knowledge of the full playbook on locking on receivers.
