I wanted Wentz. I think the fans were pretty close to 50/50 on this, and perhaps a little more for Goff.
For me it would be awesome, on top of the Rams coming back to L.A., if Wentz was somehow able to pick up the ball from Stafford after next year and keep the Rams competitive for another 3 or 4 years.
I think he was set up to fail in Washington and he played some pretty good football in INDY, just had a couple bad games at the end and cost him his job.
In fact, our beloved Stafford, who is apparently a top NFC QB, has:
3,965 24 and 11.
Wentz had:
3,563 27 and 7
In his year with the Colts.
Overall he has 151 TD's and 66 INT's.
For the record, Goff has similar, at 183 and 82.
For me, Wentz (amd Stafford) always passed the eye test, just not Goff.
Anyway, probably my biggest concern is just to showcase Wentz as it could mean he moves on.
But all good, just a lot of cool things ahead for the Rams future including our up and coming core of young draftees.
